The Waiting Tree

A gentle, faith-filled story about waiting, trusting God, and growing strong - even when answers don't come. The Waiting Tree follows a boy and his loyal dog, Hank, as the boy prays and learns what it means to trust God through seasons of silence. When the boy's prayers are met with "not yet" or "no", he wrestles with questions, disappointment, and hope discovering that God's love is still at work, even when nothing seems to change. Through rhyme and tender imagery, The Waiting Tree helps children understand that unanswered prayers are not forgotten prayers, and that waiting can grow deep roots of faith, resilience, and trust. Perfect for read-aloud, bedtime, and meaningful conversations, The Waiting Tree offers comfort and reassurance to children navigating big emotions, long waiting seasons, or unanswered prayers - reminding them that God's silence is never His absence. The book also includes a gentle closing prayer and The Waiting Tree Challenge, encouraging families to continue faith-filled conversations beyond the final page. Each outdoor illustration features a hidden frog for children to spot, adding a playful seek-and-find element throughout the story. A heartfelt Christian picture book for children ages 5-9, The Waiting Tree encourages young readers to trust the Shepherd - even when the path ahead is unclear.
